Hello, just came across this video. There are massive frame drops which makes the game almost unplayable. What might be the possible reason? Sincerely hope others are not experiencing it with this great game.

Hi Korgan-it looks like it might be certain enemy combinations in certain rooms that cause things to get so rough. Grip and I are looking into it now. Thanks for the post!

First things first, awesome job on creating a great game Joe!

Regarding the frame rate issue, I have had some really bad instances myself on the PS4. Without exaggerating, the rate was easily 1 frame every 2 or 3 seconds. But after experiencing it a few times, I think there are a few simple reasons for the drops (as I'm sure you're aware).

I believe that TOG just simply reaches the computational limits of the PS4 in large rooms when there are lots of enemies and or objects being rendered. While the PS4 can handle 200 spin bots, the moment the player starts killing them, each spin bots turns into 6 or more loot objects. And once those objects start moving thanks to the players magnetic pull, it is simply too many vectors for the machine to calculate (especially when you add all the other objects like bullets and explosion animations). And I believe that this is further compounded in large rooms with some of these player guns producing such a large volume of projectiles, the number of live instances are compounded as they take longer to travel across large spaces.

All in all, while it is a bit annoying to have a frame rate issue here and there, the overall purpose of the game is to kill the player. So I have simply just started to view the issue as another foe to overcome. And with some selective fire, those frame rate issues can be minimized.

But again, TOG is a great game. Thanks for all your effort. I personally can't wait for Tower of Guns 2: Revenge of the Hugbots!
